Hi Anna -
Earth Day is nearly here, and that makes me think of all of my eco sisters walking the path for Earth Healing. It's time to say Thank You for your contributions.

I'm looking forward to learning all about mosslands and am glad you'll make that a priority here. I met Wong on the internet after reading about sun bears. I dug around and found his blog and invited him to join ecopaparazzi. That was about 6 weeks ago and we're getting to know each other. A percentage of the proceeds from the Ursa Freedom Project will got to Wong for Phase II of the sun bear conservation center. If we bring in tons of money we will also fund his Phase III construction. So let's work hard to bring in millions so we can liberate the moon bears and save the sun bears at the same time! I"m so glad you're here!

Hi Anna,
Good to see you here. We all should spread the news to ask friends to join Ecopaparazzi. I can see the force is slowly growing. One day after 10 years from now we all will never regret of what we start to do today.
May the force be with us and the bears!

Hi Anna -
You have chosen an inspiring and dedicated conservationist as your Eco Hero. Well chosen! I would love to know more about mosslands and hope you will do some blogging about them and upload photos. I'm always looking within ecopaparazzi membership for info about environmental problems in local communities and people who are working to solve the problems. I would really like to learn about mosslands. What biodiversity hotspot are the mosslands in? Sun bears are precious to the bone and it's just fabulous that you are able to work with them. I am so happy to see you and the other sun bear conservationists from the UK here at ecopaparazzi. I hope you will join the group Save the Sun Bears so we can all start talking about ways to help raise money to protect and conserve them. How can the rest of us help? I'm so glad you're here. Welcome!

ECO KUDOS

With both acknowledged and possible calamities as compelling and urgent
catalysts, Raincoast Conservation is advocating for British Columbia's first fully protected salmon runs. The move is an effort to save the grizzly bear species.

This bold and ambitious proposal runs contrary to the historical underpinnings of salmon management, as fisheries managers have always assumed that salmon exist exclusively for human consumption.

According to Raincoast, it is a matter of competition, and the odds are stacked against carnivores in these coastal salmon forests.

I've seen this. It's quite disturbing. It reminds me so much of Bear Baiting. I feel the same way about fur-trappers. They catch the animal using a horrible leg-hold trap or snare... and then when they see that they've caught it, they club it over...
