Well hi there, my friend and newly enlightened Earth brother! I'm glad to see you here and know that one day your heart's desire of returning to live on the great blue sea will come to be, because we need eco warriors and Earth saviors on the high seas keeping watch. But that's another story for another time. Oh no, did I just say that? Another chat marathon in the making? God give me strength!

I have only become aware to the many problems that we face from an ecological perspective. If I can learn then everyone can learn to care.

I don't think I have one yet. I hope to have many in the future.

ECO KUDOS

With both acknowledged and possible calamities as compelling and urgent
catalysts, Raincoast Conservation is advocating for British Columbia's first fully protected salmon runs. The move is an effort to save the grizzly bear species.

This bold and ambitious proposal runs contrary to the historical underpinnings of salmon management, as fisheries managers have always assumed that salmon exist exclusively for human consumption.

According to Raincoast, it is a matter of competition, and the odds are stacked against carnivores in these coastal salmon forests.

That's really messed up! I know the show but I haven't seen that episode. I'm always disturbed when these so called "educational" channels air shows like that. What message is the channel sending? That it's OK to do that?
