I love your funniest eco moment! It's nice to see the levity amidst our intense actions to save the bears. It' a great story!

Hi Kelly -
I"m so glad to see you here in my other neighborhood. Feel free to blog about moon bears and design your profile page to bring attention to moonbears.org!

Profile Information

What do you love most about Ma Earth?
We are living as a part of Her, not living ON Her. Look around and I needn't answer for you :) We are all lucky and blessed, let's keep it that way.
What environmental issue concerns you most?
Animal welfare
Who is your Eco Hero/Heroine?
Gina Moon
What actions are you taking to help heal the Earth?
I am managing Director of Moonbears.org, a non-profit organization dedicated to putting a sotp to the bear bile trade. I do my best to spread the eco-friendly word to the Korean people, on behalf of a species in danger.
What's the best eco quote you've ever heard?
"You must be the change you wish to see in the world."

— Mahatma Gandhi
What is your favorite green website?
http://moonbears.org
What gives you the greatest hope for the future of the planet?
All of you. US.
What else would you like to tell us about yourself?
I am currently struggling with the language barrier in Korea and in search of Hangul speaking help. I study, but I'm slow. It's caused me to function less effectively in this field of Eco PR. I am dedicated but handicapped (and working on it)
What is your funniest eco moment?
I recently did a temple stay with mindfulness of the environment and my food as my primary focus and I screwed up the food washing ceremony and the monk made me drink everyone's dirty water. He did his best to look austere, but the look of horror on my face made him fall over laughing. The room followed. That was one "not so silent" silent ceremony.
What is your blog address?

ECO KUDOS

With both acknowledged and possible calamities as compelling and urgent
catalysts, Raincoast Conservation is advocating for British Columbia's first fully protected salmon runs. The move is an effort to save the grizzly bear species.

This bold and ambitious proposal runs contrary to the historical underpinnings of salmon management, as fisheries managers have always assumed that salmon exist exclusively for human consumption.

According to Raincoast, it is a matter of competition, and the odds are stacked against carnivores in these coastal salmon forests.
