Welcome to ecopaparazzi. This is a great landing place for you, and I"m glad you're here. Let me know when Camila will be on the radio show so I can spread the word!

Profile Information

What do you love most about Ma Earth?
Her compassion in allowing us to live on her in such a destructive parasitic manner; she must love us all very much.
What environmental issue concerns you most?
Integration of sustainable technologies and practices with new economic structures that leverage Information Age tools, creating a knowledge economy where value is created based on human creativity as opposed to extraction of natural resources, or slave type labor.
Who is your Eco Hero/Heroine?
Jeff "Skyler" Farr, of "Plan-It, Plant-It, Planet."
What actions are you taking to help heal the Earth?
Offering a new virtual economic model that supports the individual, charities, and corporations, even governments.
What's the best eco quote you've ever heard?
"What an astounding thing it is to watch a civilization destroy its self because it is unable to re-examine the validity, under totally new circumstances, of an economic ideology."

~ Sir James Goldsmith
What is your favorite green website?
http://peaceportal.mobi
What gives you the greatest hope for the future of the planet?
The Children: they have been born into the Information Age, which is a global village. They have their own personal experiences of other cultures from Internet communities, photos, and videos; as education systems and old society try to indoctrinate the continued competitive and separating (nationalistic) world views in this generation, it won't work - they have already have a global uniting world view perspective. Peace will be possible, in the next generations, allowing diversion of harmful military expenditures into sustainable living systems that reflect the mega-political conditions of the new Information Age.
What else would you like to tell us about yourself?
My main websites are www.peaceportal.mobi (Peace Portal) and www.freedigitaluniverse.com (a charity virtual fund raiser for Peace Portal projects.

If you have a project and need long term funding, we're designed so you can throw away your tin cup.
What is your funniest eco moment?
I put on a sustainable festival in Malibu called "GaiaFest" back in 2000 and while getting it all organized the FBI sent people in to volunteer as helpers to see what we're "really" up to. We had them parking cars and they walked off about half-way through the event (caused a bad parking situation) - but the event was a success and I still thank Whole-Foods Brentwood for being the food Vendor and donating all the money to cover the events cost.
What is your blog address?

Peace Portal is the location where sustainable humanitarian projects are qualified, integrated and funded by the partners in the Free Digital Universe (FDU) non-violent virtual game.

"Free DFDU Gameigital Universe" The Free Digital Universe (FDU) is a non-violent Virtual World that serves as a charitable Fundraiser, social forum, and personal wealth empowerment tool for easing the transition to the Information Age.
Websites from an association of charities, non-governmental organizations, and corporations have combined together to create a unified global platform where users are recognized as equal Sovereign Living Beings with intrinsic Human Rights.
Inside the FDU, Players interact as equals through digital re-presentations of their self using a "Sovereign Digital Soule." Each "Soule" (also called a Avatar) is empowered as a equal co-creator of this virtual universe, which is maintained by Foundations, and other participants via the
FDU Management Association.

Game parameters (programming) are based on Universal Truth / Natural Laws of creation. The holistic design is intended to produce an Information Age commerce system that will result in greater wealth and freedom for everyone, even those living in emerging countries, while also responding to ever-growing pressures on our natural environment.

AgriBiz P'd Off at Mrs. Obama

Mrs. Obama has planted an Organic food garden at the White House, designed to produce fresh fruits and vegetables for the White House staff and guests.

This has brought her in bad favor with big agriculture business for not using chemical pesticides, worried what message the action may send to consumers. The Mid America CropLife Association penned a response to this rebel, pointing out the vi

ECO KUDOS

The Indianapolis Prize is the largest individual monetary award for animal species conservation in the world and is given as an unrestricted gift to the chosen honoree by the Eli Lilly and Company Foundation.

The award is not designed to be a quiet, academic, scientist-focused event, but instead an energetic and spectacular celebration of conservation victories. The goal is to inspire the general public to start caring about conservation, and to place heroes, who live in tents in danger of both wild beasts and poachers, on the pedestal that we usually reserve for sports and entertainment stars.

The recent East Asian Seas (EAS) Congress held in Manila, Philippines, concluded with the signing of the Agreement Recognizing the Legal Personality of Partnerships in the Environmental Management for the Seas of East Asia. This Agreement creates a fully-fledged international body to work for sustainable development of the region’s coastal and marine areas.

With both acknowledged and possible calamities as compelling and urgent
catalysts, Raincoast Conservation is advocating for British Columbia's first fully protected salmon runs. The move is an effort to save the grizzly bear species.

This bold and ambitious proposal runs contrary to the historical underpinnings of salmon management, as fisheries managers have always assumed that salmon exist exclusively for human consumption.

According to Raincoast, it is a matter of competition, and the odds are stacked against carnivores in these coastal salmon forests.

TAKE ACTION!

Become part of the Backyard Revolution and landscape for wildlife.

Replace your lawn with native shrubs, flowers and trees. Plant a butterfly garden, and put in a pond. You'll benefit from the beauty and tranquility of your yard, and wildlife will benefit from the food and water sources that you provide.

Need some guidance? Read the book Bringing Nature Home.

Half of all animal species will be extinct in our lifetime, unless emissions peak by 2020. Cut greenhouse gas emissions by reducing your energy consumption, learning more about climate change and getting active in community efforts to heal the Earth. Become part of the solution.

Feed the hungry.
Save indigenous people.
Stand up for workers' rights.

Be kind to animals.
Stop factory farms.
Save 100 animals every year.

End deforestation for grazing.
Save an acre of trees.
End grazing on public lands.

Tell USDA 'Wildlife Services'
to stop killing wildlife for
corporate ranchers' profits.

Stop wars for resources.
Help end corporate rule.
Live your conscience.

Save our oceans.
Stop the #1 polluter of water.
Support a sustainable planet.

Think outside yourself.
Live compassionately.
Stop the violence.
