There you are! I am staying in British Columbia for a few weeks, working on a video project and meeting bear specialists for Ursa Freedom Project. It is very cold, wet and windy in BC, and is a far cry from Nicaragua and Costa Rica, where it is hot year 'round. I am wearing so many clothes these days and sleeping under a mountain of blankets, both of which make me feel like I am confined and suffocating. But I love the people and the beauty of Gabriola Island. I am very happy to be here doing the work that I have been put on Earth to do. What about you? Tell me how you are doing these days, my dear Tibor.

I love the Cumberland Gap! I've been there many times and used to go there for retreats with environmental education teachers from throughout the state of KY. Oh, now I'm missing home. How lovely to see a piece of Kentucky.

Oh, I love this photo. I think of you too and always feel bad when the internet transmissions prevent me from maintaining my two networks properly. It's frustrating. I spent today updating UFP and ran out of time for ecopaparazzi. The connections are so slow here. But I have Meatless in the bag for next Monday. i hope to revamp the site with new goodies for next Monday, so keep your fingers crossed that I am able to have success. The rains interfere a lot with connections. I think of you all the time too and am so happy that you and Daniel have found each other. You sound so happy! And that makes me happy. I smile for you each day.
XOXO

Yes he is a cutie!!!I will be sending a pic of my Tim soon. The horses are of course beautiful.
I feel you are all ga ga right now. That is good to have "love!" He is good for you. I remember
a year ago how your life seemed hopeless to you. Even though you put up a good front. But now look
the sun is shining once again. Never lose your hope. Tonkasila watches over you even in the storms. But it must have needed to be that way for whatever reason. Just remain faithful always.

Beloved Friends!

Hi, this is Tibor, of Meatless Mondays here on EcoPapparazzi,

I wanted to make sure you read my "Mondays" article. This time is a great time! I have had a wonderful experience, and a delicious recipe for all of you, even if you don't refrain from meat. I would like you to experience this recipe. It's very simple, and quite nutricious. It's refreshing, as well. Please find my column, called "Meatless Mondays".

You'll find this column at the lower left of the homepage. On Mondays, due to our lov… Continue

ECO KUDOS

The Indianapolis Prize is the largest individual monetary award for animal species conservation in the world and is given as an unrestricted gift to the chosen honoree by the Eli Lilly and Company Foundation.

The award is not designed to be a quiet, academic, scientist-focused event, but instead an energetic and spectacular celebration of conservation victories. The goal is to inspire the general public to start caring about conservation, and to place heroes, who live in tents in danger of both wild beasts and poachers, on the pedestal that we usually reserve for sports and entertainment stars.

The recent East Asian Seas (EAS) Congress held in Manila, Philippines, concluded with the signing of the Agreement Recognizing the Legal Personality of Partnerships in the Environmental Management for the Seas of East Asia. This Agreement creates a fully-fledged international body to work for sustainable development of the region’s coastal and marine areas.

With both acknowledged and possible calamities as compelling and urgent
catalysts, Raincoast Conservation is advocating for British Columbia's first fully protected salmon runs. The move is an effort to save the grizzly bear species.

This bold and ambitious proposal runs contrary to the historical underpinnings of salmon management, as fisheries managers have always assumed that salmon exist exclusively for human consumption.

According to Raincoast, it is a matter of competition, and the odds are stacked against carnivores in these coastal salmon forests.

TAKE ACTION!

Become part of the Backyard Revolution and landscape for wildlife.

Replace your lawn with native shrubs, flowers and trees. Plant a butterfly garden, and put in a pond. You'll benefit from the beauty and tranquility of your yard, and wildlife will benefit from the food and water sources that you provide.

Need some guidance? Read the book Bringing Nature Home.

Half of all animal species will be extinct in our lifetime, unless emissions peak by 2020. Cut greenhouse gas emissions by reducing your energy consumption, learning more about climate change and getting active in community efforts to heal the Earth. Become part of the solution.

Feed the hungry.
Save indigenous people.
Stand up for workers' rights.

Be kind to animals.
Stop factory farms.
Save 100 animals every year.

End deforestation for grazing.
Save an acre of trees.
End grazing on public lands.

Tell USDA 'Wildlife Services'
to stop killing wildlife for
corporate ranchers' profits.

Stop wars for resources.
Help end corporate rule.
Live your conscience.

Save our oceans.
Stop the #1 polluter of water.
Support a sustainable planet.

Think outside yourself.
Live compassionately.
Stop the violence.
